Predicted Results Early Entry Pathway for DSSSC Students
Exciting news!
We are thrilled to announce that Western Sydney University (WSU) has officially approved a new predicted results entry pathway for students from Hong Kong Direct Subsidy Scheme (HKDSSSC) schools!
Under this arrangement, eligible students can receive an early conditional offer to all WSU undergraduate programs based on predicted HKDSE, GCE A-Level, or IB results, before the release of their final public examination results.

Minimum Predicted Entry Requirements

HKDSE: Aggregate score of 17 from the best fice subjects (Category A only)

GCE A-Level: Aggregate score of 8 from the best three AL subjects

IB Diploma: 26 predicted points

Final admission decisions remain at WSU’s discretion and are generally confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis upon acceptance of the offer.

CoE will be issued (can apply for student visa) when the student accepts the conditional offer and meeting all other requirements (i.e. English)

Student must provide final HKDSE, GCE A Level or IB results

Students must meet or exceed University’s admission criteria (HKDSE=15, A-Level=6, IB=24) on the final results, including any subject prerequisites and English language requirements (i.e achieved Level 4 in English if the student did not sit an IELTS test)

Where the final results do not meet the University’s admission requirements, the University may issue an alternative offer, where available and appropriate.

Grading Scale:
Predicted Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education results
Best five subjects in Category A subjects.
Category A subjects: 5**=7; 5*=6; 5=5; 4=4; 3=3; 2=2; 1=1
Predicted GCE A Level score is based on best 3 subjects
Best 3 subjects in AL core subjects. AS will not be counted.
Grading scale: A*=6, A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1
*WSU has the final decision rights on student acceptance and admission.

Scholarships
Eligible students will automatically be considered for:
Multiyear Scholarship
Amount: $3000 per semester
$5,000 Regional Achievement Award
Amount: $5000 per semester
HKDSE = 16 / IB = 25 and equivalent
$10,000 Regional Achievement Award
Amount: $10,000 per semester
HKDSE = 18 / IB = 28 and equivalent
*All scholarships are awarded on a multi-year basis, up to maximum of 3 years for Undergraduate programs. Excludes Bachelor of Clinical Science (Medicine)/Doctor of Medicine, and all Research degrees. WSU has the final decision rights on all matters related to scholarships.
